USJ in Osaka is one of the most crowded theme parks on earth. If you go without a plan, you will spend 80% of your day just standing in line (expect 120-180 minute waits per ride).

1. STUDIO PASS (ENTRY TICKET)

  • Without it, you might only experience 2-3 major rides all day and leave exhausted.
  • With an Express 4 or 7 pass, you breeze through the top rides (Harry Potter, Flying Dinosaur). Money absolutely buys time here.

3. HOW TO ENTER SUPER NINTENDO WORLD (MARIO)?

Because it's so popular, entry is capacity-controlled via an "Area Timed Entry Ticket". There are 3 ways to get in:

• Method 1 (100% Guaranteed): Buy an Express Pass that includes Mario.
  • When purchasing, you select your entry time. Show up, walk in. Stress-free.
• Method 2 (Luck-based): Get an E-Ticket via the USJ App on the day.
  • Download the app beforehand. The second your entry ticket is scanned at the front gate, open the app, go to "Area Timed Entry Ticket," and secure a slot. (Tickets usually run out by 9-10 AM).
• Method 3 (Brute Force): Sprinting.
  • Arrive at the USJ gate by 6 AM. When the gates officially open at 8 AM, sprint directly to the Mario area for "free entry" before they put up the barricades to check tickets.
