- Tokaido Shinkansen (Tokyo-Osaka) launches semi-private booth seats.

- Launching on Japan's busiest line (Tokyo ↔ Osaka).
3. GRAN TENKU TRAIN - JOURNEY TO KOYASAN (APRIL 24, 2026)
Nankai Electric Railway's New Sightseeing Train:

- Route: Osaka Namba → Gokurakubashi (gateway to Mount Koya).
- 4 luxury sightseeing carriages.
- Replaces the existing "Tenku" service.

4. HELLO KITTY SHINKANSEN RETIRES (Spring 2026)
- After 8 years of service, the beloved Hello Kitty Shinkansen is retiring.

5. FREE SHINKANSEN IN KYUSHU (Feb 2026)
- Kagoshima Prefecture offering free one-way Shinkansen tickets to foreign tourists.
