Hiragana Hacks: Don't Write, Imagine!
Your brain remembers Images 100x better than abstract lines. Let's turn squiggles into pictures.
1. A (γ) -> Antenna
- Image: Look at γ. See the vertical line and the loop? It looks like a distorted roof Antenna.
- Sound: A for Antenna.
2. I (γ) -> Eels
- Image: γ looks like two eels swimming side by side (Or number 11 tilted).
- Sound: I (Pronounced 'ee' as in Eel).
3. U (γ) -> U-turn / Ooh!
- Image: γ looks like a sideways U lying down. Or someone bending over with a heavy load on their back ("Ooh, heavy!").
- Sound: U (Pronounced 'Ooh').
4. E (γ) -> Exercise
- Image: γ looks like a ninja running or doing Exercise (high kick leg).
- Sound: E (Pronounced 'Eh' as in Exercise).
5. O (γ) -> On the Green (Golf)
- Image: γ is complex.
- The loop is the swing of the club.
- The little dash is the ball flying away.
- "Oh! Good shot!"
- Sound: O (Oh).
Tip: Draw these pictures over the characters yourself. You will never forget them!
