💡 Usage

The native Japanese counting system is used for things that do not have specific counter suffixes or generic solid objects up to 10. For numbers above 11, standard numbers are used.

📚 Examples

みかんを二つふたつべました。

Mikan o futatsu tabemashita.

I ate two mandarin oranges.

かばんをひといました。

Kaban o hitotsu kaimashita.

I bought one bag.

部屋へやつくえ三つみっつあります。

Heya ni tsukue ga mittsu arimasu.

There are three desks in the room.

たまご四つよっつください。

Tamago o yottsu kudasai.

Please give me four eggs.

荷物にもつ五ついつつあります。

Nimotsu ga itsutsu arimasu.

There are five pieces of luggage.
