Learn patterns for giving and receiving actions: doing something for someone (V-te agemasu), having someone do something for you (V-te moraimasu), and someone doing something for you (V-te kuremasu).

Describes an action where the speaker (or subject) does something for someone else's benefit. Use caution with superiors (may sound condescending).
📚 Examples
私はカリナさんに手紙を出してあげます。
Watashi wa Karina-san ni tegami o dashite agemasu.
I send a letter for Ms. Karina.
山田さんは木村さんに花を買ってあげました。
Yamada-san wa Kimura-san ni hana o katte agemashita.
Mr. Yamada bought flowers for Ms. Kimura.
私は彼に本を貸してあげました。
Watashi wa kare ni hon o kashite agemashita.
I lent him a book.
妹に英語を教えてあげます。
Imouto ni eigo o oshiete agemasu.
I teach English to my younger sister.
友達の荷物を持ってあげました。
Tomodachi no nimotsu o motte agemashita.
I carried the luggage for my friend.
