N-no / V-ru / V-ta + 際に(は)💡Usage
Formal equivalent of "toki". Used in documents, instructions, and public announcements.
📚Examples
お降りの際は足元にご注意ください。
Oriru no sai wa ashimoto ni gochuui kudasai.
Please watch your step when getting off.
緊急の際は、このボタンを押してください。
Kinkyuu no sai wa, kono botan wo oshite kudasai.
In case of emergency, please press this button.
ご来店の際は、予約をお願いします。
Goraiten no sai wa, yoyaku wo onegai shimasu.
Please make a reservation when you come to the store.
パスポート申請の際は、写真が必要です。
