Verb conditional + Verb dictionary + ほど / Adj-i conditional + Adj-i + ほど💡Usage
Expresses proportional change: as the degree of one aspect increases, the degree of the other also increases accordingly.
📚Examples
このスルメは噛めば噛むほど深い味が出る。
Kono surume wa kameba kamu hodo fukai aji ga deru.
The more you chew this dried squid, the more flavor it releases.
彼女は性格がいいので、見れば見るほど好きになる。
Kanojo wa seikaku ga ii node, mireba miru hodo suki ni naru.
Since she has a great personality, the more I see her, the more I like her.
この数学の難問は、考えれば考えるほどわからなくなる。
Kono suugaku no nanmon wa, kangaereba kangaeru hodo wakaranaku naru.
The more I think about this difficult math problem, the less I understand it.
