Emphasizes concession. "Even if...", "No matter...", "Even though...".
📚Examples
たとえ結果が失敗に終わったとしても、これまで頑張ってきた努力は決して無駄にならない。
Tatoe kekka ga shippai ni owatta to shite mo, kore made ganbatte kita doryoku wa kesshite muda ni naranai.
Even if the result ends in failure, the effort you have put in so far will never be wasted.
彼女のことが本当に好きだから、たとえ親や友達に反対されても、絶対に結婚するつもりだ。
Kanojo no koto ga hontou ni suki da kara, tatoe oya ya tomodachi ni hantai saretemo, zettai ni kekkon suru tsumori da.
