Expresses that "not only A, but also B". Used in formal contexts.
📚Examples
彼は漢字ばかりか、平仮名も書けない。
Kare wa kanji bakarika, hiragana mo kakenai.
He can't write Kanji, let alone Hiragana.
この薬は効かないばかりか、副作用もある。
Kono kusuri wa kikanai bakarika, fukusayou mo aru.
This medicine is not only ineffective but also has side effects.
その店は味が悪いばかりか、店員の態度もひどい。
