一応 + 文💡Usage
Used to indicate that something is done for now or to a sufficient degree, though not perfectly.
📚Examples
一応、最後まで読みました。
Ichiou, saigo made yomimashita.
I read it through to the end, more or less.
一応、完成しました。
Ichiou, kansei shimashita.
It is tentatively finished.
念のため、一応電話しておきます。
Nen no tame, ichiou denwa shite okimasu.
I'll call just in case, to be sure.
一応の理解はしています。
Ichiou no rikai wa shite imasu.
I have a rough understanding of it.
一応、話は聞きました。
Ichiou, hanashi wa kikimashita.
I've heard the story, for what it's worth.
結果はどうあれ、一応努力はした。
Kekka wa dou are, ichiou doryoku wa shita.
Whatever the result, I did make an effort at least.
一応、予約しておきました。
Ichiou, yoyaku shite okimashita.
I made a reservation just in case.
