Used to indicate that a condition has continued from a point in the past until now.
📚Examples
日本に来て以来、母の料理を食べていない。
Nihon ni kite irai, haha no ryouri wo tabete inai.
Since coming to Japan, I haven't eaten my mother's cooking.
彼とは卒業以来、一度も会っていない。
Kare to wa sotsugyou irai, ichido mo atte inai.
I haven't met him even once since graduation.
入社以来、このプロジェクトを担当している。
Nyuusha irai, kono purojekuto wo tantou shite iru.
I have been in charge of this project since I joined the company.
あの事故以来、彼は車を運転しなくなった。
Ano jiko irai, kare wa kuruma wo unten shinakunatta.
Since that accident, he has stopped driving cars.
先月以来、雨が降っていない。
Sengetsu irai, ame ga futte inai.
It hasn't rained since last month.
