N (thời gian/địa điểm) + から + N (thời gian/địa điểm) + にかけて💡Usage
Used to indicate a range of time or location (approximate range).
📚Examples
昨夜から今朝にかけて、大雨が降った。
Sakuya kara kesa ni kakete, ooame ga futta.
It rained heavily from last night through this morning.
関東から東北にかけて、地震があった。
Kantou kara Touhoku ni kakete, jishin ga atta.
There was an earthquake from Kanto to Tohoku.
夏から秋にかけて、台風が多い。
Natsu kara aki ni kakete, taifuu ga ooi.
There are many typhoons from summer through autumn.
肩から背中にかけて、痛みがある。
Kata kara senaka ni kakete, itami ga aru.
I have pain from my shoulders down to my back.
2月から3月にかけて、忙しくなる。
Nigatsu kara sangatsu ni kakete, isogashiku naru.
I will be busy from February through March.
年末から年始にかけて、旅行する。
