1. Leaving something out (e.g., skip definitions, no wasabi). 2. Cannot do something without... (used with negative potential).
📚Examples
冗談は抜きにして、真面目に話そう。
Joudan wa nuki ni shite, majime ni hanasou.
Leaving jokes aside, let's talk seriously.
挨拶は抜きにして、乾杯しましょう。
Aisatsu wa nuki ni shite, kanpai shimashou.
Let's skip the greetings and make a toast.
ワサビ抜きでお願いします。
Wasabi nuki de onegai shimasu.
Without wasabi, please.

Choushoku nuki de gakkou e itta.
