V-masu + っぱなし💡Usage
1. Leaving something in a state (often negative, neglected). 2. Doing something continuously.
📚Examples
電気をつけっぱなしで寝てしまった。
Denki wo tsukeppanashi de nete shimatta.
I fell asleep with the lights left on.
水を出しっぱなしにしないでください。
Mizu wo dashippanashi ni shinaide kudasai.
Please don't leave the water running.
窓を開けっぱなしにして外出した。
Mado wo akeppanashi ni shite gaishutsu shita.
I went out leaving the window open.
立ちっぱなしで足が疲れた。
Tachippanashi de ashi ga tsukareta.
