Expresses state left as is, not cleaned up. Usually carries negative nuance.
📚Examples
エアコンやテレビをつけっぱなしにして寝てしまうと、電気代がたくさんかかってしまいますよ。
Eakon ya terebi wo tsukeppanashi ni shite nete shimau to, denkidai ga takusan kakatte shimaimasu yo.
If you fall asleep leaving the air conditioner and TV on, it will cost a lot of electricity bill.
