文 + とは限らない / N + だとは限らない💡Usage
Used for partial negation, indicating that there are exceptions and it is not always the case.
📚Examples
高いものが必ずしも良いものだとは限らない。
Takai mono ga kanarazu shimo ii mono da to wa kagiranai.
Expensive things are not necessarily good things.
日本人がみんな納豆が好きだとは限らない。
Nihonjin ga minna nattou ga suki da to wa kagiranai.
Not all Japanese people necessarily like Natto.
努力すれば、必ず成功するとは限らない。
Doryoku sureba, kanarazu seikou suru to wa kagiranai.
If you make an effort, it doesn't necessarily mean you will succeed.
天気が良くても、富士山が見えるとは限らない。
Tenki ga yokute mo, Fujisan ga mieru to wa kagiranai.
