11. ～べきだ : Should / Ought to / Must.

Verb dictionary + べきだ / Noun + である + べきだ💡Usage
Expresses moral duty, responsibility, or what should be done according to what is right. More objective than "なければならない".
📚Examples
将来のことを考えて、学生はもっと一生懸命勉強するべきだ。
Shourai no koto wo kangaete, gakusei wa motto isshoukenmei benkyou suru beki da.
Thinking about the future, students should study much harder.
人間として、一度した約束はどんなことがあっても守るべきだ。
Ningen to shite, ichido shita yakusoku wa donna koto ga attemo mamoru beki da.
As a human being, once a promise is made, it should be kept no matter what.
どんなに忙しくても、自分を育ててくれた親を大切にするべきだ。
Donna ni isogashikutemo, jibun wo sodatete kureta oya wo taisetsu ni suru beki da.
