Verb/Adj/Noun (plain form) + はずだ💡Usage
Expresses inference with logical basis, should be so. Or expresses what should have happened.
📚Examples
彼は三十分前に家を出たと言っていたから、渋滞がなければもう着いたはずだ。
Kare wa sanjuupun mae ni ie wo deta to itteita kara, juutai ga nakereba mou tsuita hazu da.
He said he left home thirty minutes ago, so if there's no traffic jam, he should have arrived by now.
管理人に確認したところ、この鍵でここのドアが問題なく開くはずだ。
Kanrinin ni kakunin shita tokoro, kono kagi de koko no doa ga mondai naku aku hazu da.
After checking with the manager, this key is supposed to open this door without any issues.
彼女は昨日プロジェクトの資料を読んでいたから、この計画の詳細は知っているはずだ。
Kanojo wa kinou purojekuto no shiryou wo yondeita kara, kono keikaku no shousai wa shitteiru hazu da.
Since she was reading the project documents yesterday, she should know the details of this plan.
天気予報では午後から晴れだと言っていたので、明日は予定通り晴れるはずだ。
Tenki yohou de wa gogo kara hare da to itteita node, ashita wa yotei doori hareru hazu da.
The weather forecast said it would be sunny starting in the afternoon, so it should be sunny tomorrow as scheduled.
鞄の中を何度も探したけれど見つからない。ここにあるはずなのに。
Kaban no naka wo nando mo sagashita keredo mitsukaranai. Koko ni aru hazu nanoni.

Hikouki no chiketto wa kare ga yoyaku suru yakusoku datta kara, kyou kare wa kuru hazu datta.
Since he promised to book the flight tickets, he was expected to come today.

Kono pazuru wa kodomo muke no reberu dakara, kimi nara totemo kantan na hazu da.

Kanojo wa getsuyoubi wa itsumo kaigishitsu de isogashiku shiteiru. Ima no jikan mo isogashii hazu da.
She is always busy in the meeting room on Mondays. She should be busy right now too.
予定の時間を一時間も過ぎているから、コンサートはもう終わったはずだ。
Yotei no jikan wo ichijikan mo sugiteiru kara, konsaato wa mou owatta hazu da.
It's past the scheduled time by an hour, so the concert should have finished by now.
彼は嘘をつくような人ではない。彼が犯人だなんて、そんなはずはない。
Kare wa uso wo tsuku you na hito dewa nai. Kare ga hannin da nante, sonna hazu wa nai.
He isn't the kind of person who tells lies. There's no way he could be the culprit.
