Expresses an order or request reported indirectly. "Tell to...", "Ask to...".

先生は生徒たちに、明日の遠足には絶対に遅刻しないようにと言いました。
Sensei wa seitotachi ni, ashita no ensoku ni wa zettai ni chikoku shinai you ni to iimashita.
The teacher told the students to make absolutely sure not to be late for tomorrow's excursion.
医者から、ダイエットのために甘いものをあまり食べ過ぎないように言われている。
