💡 Usage
Emphasizes the very specific moment an action is just about to start in the next few seconds or minutes. Highly often used with immediate adverbs like 'kore kara' or 'choudo ima kara'.
📚 Examples
これ[から] 食べる ところです。
Kore kara taberu tokoro desu.
I am just about to start generously eating now.
昼休みは もう 終わりましたか。いいえ、これ[から] 始まるところです。
Hiruyasumi wa mou owarimashita ka. Iie, kore kara hajimaru tokoro desu.
Is the lunch break already over? No, it is just about to start now.
今出かけるところです。
Ima dekakeru tokoro desu.
I am just about to head out the door right now.
ちょうど今から始まるところです。
Choudo ima kara hajimaru tokoro desu.
Luckily, it is just exactly about to start right from this exact moment.

Sugu pasokon o naosu tokoro desu.
