Lesson 50: Humble Language (Kenjougo)

✏️ Structure

- Nhóm 1 & 2: お + V-masu (bỏ masu) + します - Nhóm 3: ご + Danh động từ + します

💡 Usage

Describes one's own or family's actions with humility. Not used for verbs with only one syllable before 'masu'.

📚 Examples

おもそうですね。おちしましょうか。

Omosou desu ne. Omochi shimashou ka.

It looks heavy. Shall I carry it for you? (humble)

今日きょう予定よていを ご説明せつめいします。

Kyou no yotei o gosetsumei shimasu.

I will explain today's schedule. (humble)

わたしえきまでおおくりします。

Watashi ga eki made ookuri shimasu.

I will escort you to the station.

社長しゃちょうにスケジュールをご連絡れんらくしました。

Shachou ni sukejuuru o gorenraku shimashita.

I contacted the president regarding the schedule.

コーヒーをおれしましょうか。

Koohii o oire shimashou ka.

Shall I prepare some coffee for you?
