15. だけは : As much as / At least / Done all that is possible.
✏️Structure
V-plain + だけは + V (cùng một động từ)💡Usage
Indicates that one has done everything possible in that capacity, regardless of the outcome.
📚Examples
やるだけはやった。あとは結果を待つばかりだ。
Yaru dake wa yatta. Ato wa kekka wo matsu bakari da.
I have done all that I can. Now I just have to wait for the results.
言うだけは言ってみよう。
Iu dake wa itte miyou.
I'll try saying it at least (even if it might not work).
食べるだけは食べたが、おいしくはなかった。
Taberu dake wa tabeta ga, oishiku wa nakatta.
I ate as much as I could, but it wasn't delicious.
できるだけは協力するつもりだ。
Dekiru dake wa kyouryoku suru tsumori da.
I intend to cooperate as much as possible.
読むだけは読んだが、意味はさっぱり分からない。
Yomu dake wa yonda ga, imi wa sappari wakaranai.
I read the whole thing, but I don't understand the meaning at all.
