Used to express a wish to do something that is likely impossible or very difficult.
📚Examples
戻れるものなら、子供の頃に戻りたい。
Modoreru mono nara, kodomo no koro ni modoritai.
If I could go back, I would want to return to my childhood.
行けるものなら、今すぐ日本へ行きたい。
Ikeru mono nara, ima sugu Nihon e ikitai.
If I could go, I would want to go to Japan right now.
やり直せるものなら、人生をやり直したい。
Yarinaoseru mono nara, jinsei wo yarinaoshitai.
If I could start over, I would want to restart my life.
会えるものなら、亡くなった祖母に会いたい。
Aeru mono nara, nakunatta sobo ni aitai.
If I could meet her, I would want to see my late grandmother.
消せるものなら、この記憶を消してしまいたい。
Keserumono nara, kono kioku wo keshite shimaitai.
If I could erase it, I would want to wipe out this memory.
代われるものなら、代わってやりたい。
Kawareru mono nara, kawatte yaritai.
If I could take their place, I would want to do so.

If I could take a break, I would want to take about a week off.

Azukerareru mono nara, dareka ni nimotsu wo azuketai.
If I could leave it with someone, I would want to leave my luggage.
逃げられるものなら、ここから逃げ出したい。
Nigerareru mono nara, koko kara nigedashitai.
