Used to make an assumption or treat something as true to proceed with subsequent actions.

彼は欠席したものとして、会議を始めましょう。
Kare wa kesseki shita mono to shite, kaigi wo hajimemashou.
Let's start the meeting assuming that he is absent.
この計画は失敗したものとして、次の対策を練る。
Kono keikaku wa shippai shita mono to shite, tsugi no taisaku wo neru.
Let's assume this plan has failed and devise the next countermeasure.
全員が賛成したものとして話を進める。
Zenin ga sansei shita mono to shite hanashi wo susumeru.
