V-ta + 上で / N + の上で💡Usage
Used to express that the action in the second clause is performed after carefully completing the action in the first clause.
📚Examples
よく考えた上で、結論を出します。
Yoku kangaeta ue de, ketsuron wo dashimasu.
I will reach a conclusion after thinking it over carefully.
家族と相談した上で、決めたいと思います。
Kazoku to soudan shita ue de, kimetai to omoimasu.
I would like to decide after consulting with my family.
書類を確認した上で、サインしてください。
Shorui wo kakunin shita ue de, sain shite kudasai.
Please sign after confirming the documents.
現場を見た上で、判断したい。
Genba wo mita ue de, handan shitai.
I want to judge after seeing the scene.
実物を見た上で、買うかどうか決める。
Jitsubutsu wo mita ue de, kau kadouka kimeru.
