Expresses being in the middle of an action when something else happens. "While...", "In the middle of...".

大事な会議の最中に突然私のスマートフォンが鳴り出してしまい、とても恥ずかしい思いをした。
Daiji na kaigi no saichuu ni totsuzen watashi no sumaatofon ga naridashite shimai, totemo hazukashii omoi wo shita.
