Expresses difference between what is said and reality. "Although I say...", "Even though...".
📚Examples
私は英語が話せるといっても、日常会話が少しできるだけで、まだ仕事では使えません。
Watashi wa eigo ga hanaseru to ittemo, nichijou kaiwa ga sukoshi dekiru dake de, mada shigoto de wa tsukaemasen.
Even though I say I can speak English, I can only do a little daily conversation, and I still can't use it at work.
庭があるといっても、とても狭くて、花をいくつか植えることができるぐらいです。
