141. うちに : While / Before / During.

Verb (te-form) + いる + うちに / Noun + のうちに💡Usage
Do something while the current state exists. "While...", "Before...".
📚Examples
若くて体力があるうちに、色々な国を旅行してたくさんの経験を積みたいと思っている。
Wakakute tairyoku ga aru uchi ni, iroiro na kuni wo ryokou shite takusan no keiken wo tsumitai to omotte iru.
While I am young and have physical strength, I want to travel to various countries and gain a lot of experience.
熱いうちにこのスープを飲んでください。冷めると美味しくなくなってしまいますから。
Atsui uchi ni kono suupu wo nonde kudasai. Sameru to oishikunaku natte shimaimasu kara.
Please drink this soup while it's hot. Because if it gets cold, it won't be delicious anymore.
暗くならないうちに、急いで家に帰りましょう。夜道は一人で歩くと危険ですから。
Kuraku naranai uchi ni, isoide ie ni kaerimashou. Yomichi wa hitori de aruku to kiken desu kara.
Let's hurry and go home before it gets dark. Because it's dangerous to walk alone on the road at night.
雨が降らないうちに、庭に出て伸びてしまった雑草を綺麗に抜いてしまおう。
Ame ga furanai uchi ni, niwa ni dete nobite shimatta zassou wo kirei ni nuite shimaou.
Before it rains, let's go out to the garden and pull out the weeds that have grown long neatly.
忘れないうちに、先生に教えられた重要なポイント को ノートに全部メモしておいた。
Wasurenai uchi ni, sensei ni oshierareta juuyou na pointo wo nooto ni zenbu memo shite oita.
