💡 Usage

Expresses two actions occurring simultaneously by the same subject. Verb V2 is the main action.

📚 Examples

わたし音楽おんがくきながら、食事しょくじします。

Watashi wa ongaku o kikinagara, shokuji shimasu.

I eat while listening to music.

パンをべながら、新聞しんぶんまないでください。

Pan o tabenagara, shinbun o yomanaide kudasai.

Please don't read the newspaper while eating bread.

ちゃみながら、はなしませんか。

Ocha o nominagara, hanashimasen ka.

Shall we talk while drinking tea?

あるきながらスマホをるのはあぶないです。

Arukinagara sumaho o miru no wa abunai desu.

It is dangerous to look at a smartphone while walking.
