Describes a state of an object that remains after an action has occurred. The subject is an object, using the particle 'ga'. Commonly used with intransitive verbs describing state changes (broken, off, open...)

📚 Examples

まどれています。

Mado ga warete imasu.

The window is broken.

電気でんきがついています。

Denki ga tsuite imasu.

The light is on.

ドアがいています。

Doa ga aite imasu.

The door is open.

このいすはこわれています。

Kono isu wa kowarete imasu.

This chair is broken.
