How did you study?
主に単語を覚えたりしていましたが、最近はリスニング力を養うがてらニュースを聞くようにしています。
I mainly memorized vocabulary, but recently I've been trying to listen to the news to develop my listening skills as well.
ニュースですか。内容いかんでは、かなり難しいんじゃないですか。
The news? Depending on the content, isn't it quite difficult?
最初はそう思いましたが、毎日聞いているうちに、少しずつ表現が身についてくるものですよ。
I thought so at first, but while listening every day, expressions gradually become second nature.
なるほど。僕も独習している反面、なかなか成果が出なくて...。真似してみようかな。

それから、シャドーイングもおすすめですよ。聞こえた通りにすぐ口に出すんです。

はい。ただ、最初から速いニュースでやると挫折しがちなので、自分に合った教材を使うのがコツです。
