Expresses an action or thought that occurs suddenly, without prior intention.

古いアルバムを整理していたら、ふと学生の頃の楽しかったことを思い出した。
Furui arubamu wo seiri shite itara, futo gakusei no koro no tanoshikatta koto wo omoidashita.
While organizing old albums, I suddenly remembered the happy times from my student days.
