✏️Structure
Adj-i (remove い) + がる / Na-adj (remove な) + がる💡Usage
Used to express emotions or desires of a third person (not the speaker). Converts i/na adjectives into verbs.

一人で留守番をすることになった幼い子供が、暗い部屋を怖がっている。
Hitori de rusuban wo suru koto ni natta osanai kodomo ga, kurai heya wo kowagatte iru.
The young child, who ended up housesitting alone, is acting afraid of the dark room.
留学したばかりの妹は、現地の暮らしに慣れず、家族を恋しがって寂しがっている。
Ryuugaku shita bakari no imouto wa, genchi no kurashi ni narezu, kazoku wo koishigatte sabishigatte iru.
My younger sister, who just started studying abroad, hasn't adjusted to local life and is lonely, missing her family.
