まるで + Noun/Sentence + のよう(だ/に)💡Usage
Used for comparison or simile. "Just like...", "As if...".
📚Examples
宝くじに当たったと聞いて、まるで夢のような話だと思った。
Takarakuji ni atatta to kiite, marude yume no you na hanashi da to omotta.
Hearing that someone won the lottery, I thought it sounded just like a dream.
悲しいニュースを聞いて、彼はまるで子供のように声を上げて泣いた。
Kanashii nyuusu wo kiite, kare wa marude kodomo no you ni koe wo agete naita.
Upon hearing the sad news, he cried out loud just like a child.
