Verb-ta + ところ💡Usage
Expresses action just completed or result after doing. "Just...", "When I...".

駅の近くに新しくできたレストランで食事をしたところ、とても美味しかったです。
Eki no chikaku ni atarashiku dekita resutoran de shokuji wo shita tokoro, totemo oishikatta desu.
When I had a meal at the newly opened restaurant near the station, it was very delicious.
病院に入院している友達にお見舞いに行ったところ、彼はすっかり元気になっていました。
Byouin ni nyuuin shite iru tomodachi ni omimai ni itta tokoro, kare wa sukkari genki ni natte imashita.
