💡 Usage
Expresses intentional, purposeful goals (both clauses must share the same subject). Further, for nouns, it means 'for the sake of N'.
📚 Examples
留学するために、貯金しています。
Ryuugaku suru tameni, chokin shite imasu.
I am saving money in order to study abroad.
家族のために、うちを建てます。
Kazoku no tameni, uchi o tatemasu.
I am building a house for my family.
健康のために、毎朝走っています。
Kenkou no tameni, maiasa hashitte imasu.
I run every morning for my health.
自分の店を持つために、一生懸命働いています。
Jibun no mise o motsu tameni, isshoukenmei hataraite imasu.
I am working desperately hard to have my own shop.
将来のために、もっと勉強します。
Shourai no tameni, motto benkyou shimasu.
I will study more for my future.
