V-you + か + V-ru + まいか💡Usage
Used when hesitating or wondering whether to do something or not.
📚Examples
傘を持っていこうかいくまいか迷っている。
Kasa wo motte ikou ka iku mai ka mayotte iru.
I'm wondering whether to take an umbrella or not.
彼に本当のことを話そうか話すまいか悩んだ。
Kare ni hontou no koto wo hanasou ka hanasu mai ka nayanda.
I agonized over whether to tell him the truth or not.
この靴を買おうか買うまいか考え中だ。
Kono kutsu wo kaou ka kau mai ka kangae chuu da.
I'm thinking about whether to buy these shoes or not.
大学に進学しようかするまいか、まだ決めていない。
Daigaku ni shingaku shiyou ka suru mai ka, mada kimete inai.
