14. かたがた : While / At the same time (Formal).

N + かたがた💡Usage
Used when one action serves two purposes. A formal expression often used in letters or business greetings.
📚Examples
お礼かたがた、ご挨拶に伺いました。
Orei katagata, goaisatsu ni ukagaimashita.
I have come to greet you, also as an expression of my gratitude.
散歩かたがた、友人の家を訪ねた。
Sanpo katagata, yuujin no ie wo tazuneta.
While out for a walk, I visited a friend's house.
報告かたがた、お食事でもいかがですか。
Houkoku katagata, oshokuji demo ikaga desu ka.
Would you like to have a meal while I report to you?
お見舞いかたがた、お宅を訪問した。
Omimai katagata, otaku wo houmon shita.
I visited his house while also paying a hospital visit.
新居の下見かたがた、近くを散策する。
Shinkyo no shitami katagata, chikaku wo sansaku suru.
While checking out the new house, I took a stroll nearby.
出張かたがた、観光を楽しむ。
Shucchou katagata, kankou wo tanoshimu.
I enjoyed sightseeing while on my business trip.

Owabi katagata, ichido oaitai.
I would like to meet you, partly as an apology.

Undou katagata, eki made arukimasu.
I'll walk to the station for some exercise.
帰省かたがた、高校時代の友人と会う予定だ。
Kisei katagata, koukoujidai no yuujin to au yotei da.
While in my hometown, I plan to meet high school friends.
お祝いかたがた、ささやかな品をお届けしました。
Oiwai katagata, sasayaka na shina wo otodoke shimashita.
I sent a small gift, also as a congratulations.
