文 + それで + 文💡Usage
1. Indicates cause/reason. 2. Used to urge the speaker to continue (And then?).
📚Examples
電車が遅れた。それで、遅刻した。
Densha ga okureta. Sore de, chikoku shita.
The train was late. That's why I was late.
「昨日、彼に会ったんだ。」「へえ、それで？」
Kinou, kare ni atta n da. - Hee, sore de?
"I met him yesterday." "Oh, and then?"
風邪を引いた。それで、学校を休んだ。
Kaze wo hiita. Sore de, gakkou wo yasunda.
I caught a cold. So I stayed home from school.
兄は医者だ。それで、父も医者だ。
Ani wa isha da. Sore de, chichi mo isha da.
My brother is a doctor. And my father is also a doctor.
「財布を落とした。」「それで、見つかった？」
Saifu wo otoshita. - Sore de, mitsukatta?
"I dropped my wallet." "So, did you find it?"
道が混んでいた。それで、間に合わなかった。
Michi ga konde ita. Sore de, maniawanakatta.

Kare wa totemo majime da. Sore de, minna ni sukarete iru.
